Day 11 · September 11
Joy grows where gratitude is spoken out loud. This is the day the Lord has made. Practice the praise — rejoice and be glad in it.
Scripture Whisper: This day is a gift from God; receive it with gratitude and gladness.
Joy is not pretending that everything is easy. It is choosing to recognize God’s goodness in the middle of what is real. Some days contain celebration; others contain disappointment, grief, or unanswered questions. Yet even a difficult day can hold evidence of grace: strength for the next step, a person who stays, a needed provision, or the quiet assurance that God is near.
Praise trains your attention. It does not erase pain; it keeps pain from becoming the only thing you can see. When you name what God has done, your heart remembers that the current difficulty is not the whole story.
Today, practice praise before you feel perfectly joyful. Speak gratitude aloud. Sing in the car. Write down a blessing. Tell someone where you have seen God’s faithfulness. Joy often grows after we make room for it through praise. What you repeatedly notice will help shape what you carry forward.
